Purchase of safety measures to combat COVID19 pandemic in public transport

The implemented measures were recommended in the report entitled "Development and analysis of international best practices to combat COVID-19 in public transport." This report was established as part of the "MOVE IT like Lublin" project. The selection of suppliers was carried out on the basis of the provisions of the Public Procurement Law.

  1. Devices for neutralizing pathogens.

Neutralizing devices have been purchased, among others SARC-CoV-2 viruses, fungi and bacteria. The method of mounting the devices completely eliminates the penetration of UV-C radiation into the interior of the vehicle. The devices were installed in 8 public transport buses: 5 Solaris Urbino 18, 2 Mercedes Conecto and 1 Ursus Ekovolt.

 

  1. Protective masks.

5,500 reusable cotton protective masks were purchased. The masks are in blue and black colours.

 

  1. Hand disinfection stations.

12 hand disinfection stations were purchased. These are automatic devices that dispense the liquid after approaching the hand to the dispenser. The stations have a metal construction and mains-battery power supply.

 

  1. Hand sanitizer stock.

2,500 liters of liquid for hand disinfection were purchased. It is an alcohol-based liquid with bactericidal, fungicidal, tuberculocidal and virucidal properties. The liquid does not contain fragrances and has been dermatologically tested.
